  • Turmeric powder
  • Black pepper powder
  • Cardamom powder
  • Ganthoda/Peppermaul (Long pepper) powder
  • Ghee (clarified butter)
  • Milk (Can be substituted with plant-based milk)
  • Sugar or honey (can be avoided for diabetic people).


  • Take 1 tsp (4 gram) turmeric powder, ¼ tsp (a pinch of) black pepper powder, ¼ tsp (a pinch of) cardamom powder, and ¼ tsp Peepramol (Ganthoda) powder and mix them well.
  • Now quickly sauté this spice-mix with a 1 tsp ghee or butter in a hot saucepan (only for a few seconds).
  • Then add two cups (500ml) of milk.
  • Heat this mixture for almost 5 mins or near to boiling temperature with frequent stirring.
  • Then reduce temperature and let it simmer for another 5 mins till all the spices blend well, leaving a pleasant aroma.
  • Milk (Can be substituted with plant-based milk)
  • Sugar or honey (can be avoided for diabetic people).

Enjoy your hot Haldi-Doodh (Milk) right away, or use it at cold or room temperature! It will bring a glow to your face!
